What are Regions? How do they work?

These are two very important questions. This page will answer both of them - and a few more you may get.

So, What are Regions?

Regions are a collection of countries that are created through geographical location. They have nothing to do with politics - just the lay of the natural land. We then assign an eSIM to a region. That particular eSIM will then work in ANY country in that region. Pretty nifty right? However if you try to use that eSIM in a different region, it won't work. But don't worry - we have a solution for all you travellers out there.

Our Regions

We currently have three regions.

  1. Europe Region

  2. North America Region

  3. Asia Pacific Region

Your Region

Your first region should be the one in which you reside in. So for example, someone who lives in Germany will get a Europe Region eSIM. Someone who lives in Canada will get a North American Region eSIM.

Following on from above
(here is a more detailed explaination of how regions work)

Say you live in Germany - you will have Europe Region eSIM. You want to travel to Switzerland? Thats fine, your eSIM will work there with no extra charges or hassle because it is part of the same region. However, you now want to travel to Australia? Your Europe eSIM won't work there (Australia is part of a different region). You will need a different regions eSIM - the Asia Region to be specific.

Not to worry! I will now tell you how to get the additional eSIM/s you need.

  1. On your Dashboard there will be a button that will say "Add New eSIM" Click on it.

  2. You will then get a box pop up - This will give you the option to add another eSIM.

  3. Click the + button for the Region/s you want. Then Checkout.

  4. You will then be able to download the new QR code from your Dashboard.

Your FIRST eSIM will be free - there is a charge for any additional ones after that.

Travelling

We have made it so you can get one eSIM for free. Very handy for travellers - whether it be business or pleasure. The first eSIM (for your home region) is free but any additional eSIMs after that will have a charge. On your Dashboard you will be able to view and manage your eSIMs easily from one place. You can also rename your eSIMs so you wont get confused as to which is for where.
